Luxor HD is an excellent marble-popper for iOS. I have played it on the iPad for months. However, I took a two-month hiatus. But now, I am back on this game. Gameplay - 9.5/10 It plays out very, very well. To play, players must match three or more spheres by launching colored spheres to destroy them and prevent them from entering the yellow, green-capped pyramid at the end of the path. Players can also practice very difficult maps in Practice Mode, set out to defeat the antagonist of the game, Set, in Adventure Mode, or try to see how long they can last on a selected map in Survival Mode. Also, they can receive special "Achievements" after fulfilling certain deeds, such as completing a level without losing a life. Sounds - 9/10 The games sounds and music tracks are really great for a casual game. I like how when the spheres roll out onto the path at the beginning of a level, they sound like real spheres made out of marble. The music tracks really give the game more of an Egyptian-like feel. However, if players do not like the in-game music, they can always play music from their iTunes library. Graphics - 10/10 Luxor HD has amazing, shiny graphics. The maps look much more life-like, with paths made out of glass (or any other material), reflections of spheres and scarabs on the ground, shadows of palm trees, sparkling gemstones, etc. I love how many colored sparks bolt out in random directions immediately after destruction of spheres. Fire a lightning ball at a vertical section of the path that is full of randomly colored spheres, and the effects will be much better! Plus, when spheres explode, I like their fountain-like star effects. That adds to the special effects of destroying spheres with a lightning ball. Overall Rating - 9.5/10 ≈ 5/5 Luxor HD is a must-have for people, casual gamers and non-gamers alike. It will keep you playing for hours on end, until you either lose all of your lives, or you beat the final level. One last note: Never ever give this app (and any other apps) a 1-star/2-star rating just because it crashes.

I have LNG loved playing Luxor on my computer. I do not like the iPod version. I cannot seem to get the scarab to follow my fingers nor to shoot when I want to. I am going to stick to Zuma which allows me fast play an the frog shoots when and where I tap.

I was playing the iPhone version on iPad and decided to get the iPad version but it wont do anything!!!

The game was fun but cant get by level 15. Not worth the money if you cant win at all.

Luxor HD is a poor rendition of the great fast-paced marble shooting desktop game. This tablet version has very poor shooting control. In fact, the fast-paced mouse "shooting" in the desktop version has now become a very slow-paced marble "alignment" game. The fun factor of shooting is gone in the iPad version. However, the graphics are very good.

Just bought the Luxor game and although its downloaded I cant access the game, it shows me the menu but none of the buttons are responding!!!.... Very very annoying!!! Waste of money AVOID buying this game!!!! So the music plays the menu comes but you cant play!!

I had the iPhone version and worked fine, wont open on iPad. Crashes each time.

What I am doing now I hope will remove the last review. I have no idea what happened. I just know the game had changed, the scoring was different. I thought It might have been my phone, so I rebooted, but it was still the same. So I deleted the game, and re-downloaded it again. I thought there would be a message that I had already purchased this game, and that I would not be charged. But I received no such message, and I am probably sure it charged me again. (No big deal..I have certainly gotten my moneys worth out of this game. I have played it many hours. A movie ticket cost me more, and I only get approximately two hours of entertainment alone from that.). The game was still playing at half the score, however. Somehow the game had changed. This morning I looked at my phone and noticed that I had a GREEN icon as well as a BLUE one. The green Icon was labeled LUXOR AR HD. I know I didnt click on it when I purchased the game because I had typed LUXOR HD in the search box, and only the BLUE icon was showing on the apps screen when I re-downloaded it again. I may never know what happened. But I dont care. I tried the new green icon on my phone ( LUXOR AR HD). WOW! THE GRAPHICS ARE FANTASTIC!!! I love them. And the scoring was the same as the old game. There are also new screens to play. LUXOR AR HD is great.

What did you do? Been playing for months and while it was a little slow, the new update moves so fast on screen that it actually blurrs. Wow! Still fun but now a different game. Much better now, have no idea what happened or why it was speeding by, but I started a new game and everything seems to work and with good speed and graphics. Ive re-rated.

I paid for this game. Why am I now getting ads? It is SO annoying. Please stop.

Theres no way to change balls like on the standard version.

I,m unhappy with the adds but even worse is the ball is not very responsive. I have to tap it several times to get it to release! Esther Larsen

This USED to be a good game. No more. Now its one big commercial in a game I PAID FOR. Im removing all Luxor games from my devices. Apple should ban this practice.

How can Mumbo Jumbo justify charging us for a game, then still bombard us with adds. Avoiding the adds has always been one of the main reasons to move to the paid version of an app. Will not be making any purchases from Mumbo Jumbo in the future.

This locks up on level10-6 and then takes me back to 10-1 every time. No fun!!! Want to keep playing! Locked up AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Mumbo Jumbo makes some excellent games, including this one. However they have now inserted an incessant barrage of ads IN A PAID GAME! I will never purchase another Mumbo Jumbo game until they remove the ads from their paid apps.

The PAID app is stacked full of ads! This is the reason you buy the app. The controls are unresponsive and you have to tap multiple times to make anything work. Do not spend money on this game. You cant go around taking peoples money and giving them a game that doesnt work properly and then still cram ads down their throat.

Hi, It happened twice , the game crushes [ex. at final level (wrath of set)] , and then the game closes. Then when I try to continue the game, it take me bake to the beginning of the stage. Then I have to re-win some levels that I have already completed it. Its wondering me that those levels show me that Ive already won it. This makers me nervous, because the final stage and especially the final are so hard that I wouldnt even think about replaying them again once I finish them. Regards.
